Fitzgerald Industries International has acquired the Immunoreagent Business of Cortex Biochem.
Concord, MA/USA (September 4, 2007). Fitzgerald Industries International today announced that it has acquired the immunoreagent business of Cortex Biochem from San Leandro, California. Cortex Biochem, Inc. will continue to operate its MagaPhase® Magnetic Particle & MagaZorb® business.
The Cortex Biochem Immunoreagent product line offers a vast array of antigens and antibodies. The diagnostics industry incorporates many of Cortex Biochem's antigens for manufacturing controls and calibrators and are used extensively in the research and development cycles of the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Antigen products include serum proteins, hormones, enzymes, tumor markers, cardiac markers, and a variety of tissue, serum, and fluid purified proteins which are used for biotechnology research as well as manufacturing applications. Further, the Cortex Biochem Immunoreagent product line offers primary antibodies covering important disciplines including cellular apoptosis, neurobiology, infectious disease, molecular biology, reporter gene revelation, and endocrinology.
